What modigliani-miller theorem - m&m is, is a financial theory stating that the market value of a firm is determined by its earning power and the risk of its underlying assets, and is independent of the way it chooses to finance its investments or distribute dividends. Remember, a firm can choose between three methods of financing: issuing shares, borrowing or spending profits (as opposed to dispersing them to shareholders in dividends). Theorem gets much more complicated, but the basic idea is that, under certain assumptions, it makes no difference whether a firm finances itself with debt or equity.
In "Financial Innovations and Market Volatility" Merton Miller explains the concept using the following analogy:
"Think of the firm as a gigantic tub of whole milk. The farmer can sell the whole milk as is. Or he can separate out the cream and sell it at a considerably higher price than the whole milk would bring. (That's the analog of a firm selling low-yield and hence high-priced debt securities.) But, of course, what the farmer would have left would be skim milk with low butterfat content and that would sell for much less than whole milk. That corresponds to the levered equity. The M and M proposition says that if there were no costs of separation (and, of course, no government dairy-support programs), the cream plus the skim milk would bring the same price as the whole milk."

believe it or not, i'm about to describe a really strange tale. Well, this tale is indeed quite spectacular...
So i was playing at FXCM and things were a splendorous accomplishment. Some friend of mine tipped me off to the fact that HKD-KRW rate will be affected by the fluctuations in the electronic equipments export, and as a consequence will dive. He said the scheme of a big unloading at that time is perfect! Well i go: yeah, it's a long shot, but i'm in! I judged it to be the right timing to buy 100 Valeries. I held off for give or take an hour, as the stop loss limit gradually closed in on me, untill some most half-pie change became perceived. 5 minutes later the base currency blasted through the roof! The account unloaded at a loss of 214 pips per unit! I was turning a bit fearful of the wretched condition that i happened to find myself in. I intended to ride the fact that that the construction materials exports are probably going to to recover and cause the HKD-KRW rates to ascent. I had wasted 100 Valeries no matter which way i took it. But then the account sold at a profit of 210 pips per coin! Jeesh, i sure as heck wasn't expecting that to happen! So i had made some money this evening and i do admit, that i was feeling great, too.;)

It swore to me waiting till then and then selling is perfect! Well to begin with i was leery of some breed of wile, but once i recognized what he had to say, i go: true, it's a long shot, but i'm in! Moving on from all the data i had started to employ, i judged it to be the right time to stop order four ponies. I stared at the graph for 10 or 20 minutes, untill some quite unexceptional alteration turned noted. 20 minutes later the base currency was ascending sky high! The account unloaded at a loss of 21 percent! I was begining to get minorally occupied. I was sure GBP-ARS rates will be affected by the changes in the pharmaceutical import market, and is going to uprise. I just wasted just about nine Prince Charleses one way or the other. But not a second after, i OCOed, and the account unloaded at a profit of 178 pips per coin. I sure wasn't expecting that to happen! I went up all the way from a bankroll of 1915 bucks to 1915 Valeries and was feeling great, as well.;)
